The best proof of that? It comes from the people I’ve worked with. Below is a story I often share, a few words from someone who’s partnered with me for years, and my own promise to show up when it counts.
There’s a tool & die shop in Grand Junction that had been doing things their way for over four decades. The CFO, had a reputation for running a tight ship—he’d managed workers’ comp and benefits himself for 41 years. Honestly, I wasn’t sure he’d see the value in partnering with a PEO.
But they were facing a real challenge: they couldn’t consistently hire or retain the high-caliber talent they needed to meet growing client demand. They were investing in expensive recruiting tools, but losing candidates to competitors because their process was too slow—and their benefits weren’t cutting it when it came to keeping people long-term.
I helped them implement a smarter applicant tracking system, updated their benefits package to be more competitive, and identified savings in their workers’ comp program that freed up funds for growth. Compliance also got a whole lot easier—especially around tricky regulations like OSHA and ACA.
Six months in, the CFO sent me a picture of the Taj Mahal. He called PEO “the best room in the house… the room for improvement!” After 41 years of running solo, that meant a lot. It reminded me why I do what I do.

I fell in love with Colorado on a family trip when I was eight years old—and never looked back. At 17, I hitchhiked here from Minnesota and spent my first summer living in a tent on Lake Dillon. I worked at Keystone and Copper in those early years, then served three years in the Army before graduating from CU and making my way back to the place I knew was home.
Skiing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, fishing—you name it, I’m out there soaking up the beauty of this place every chance I get. It’s a true joy to live in Colorado and to support the business owners who keep its communities thriving.
